A cereal bar opens on the central avenue of Saint-Petersburg

An ice cream shop with a breakfast twist opened in St. Petersburg earlier this month.

The Cereal Bar, which offers ice cream that can be infused or topped with breakfast cereal, is located at 689 Central Ave. It opened on November 9.

The store uses a drill-style press that infuses flavors into soft serve ice cream, according to a press release. Customers can add Fruit Loops, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charms, Fruity Pebbles, Cinnamon Cereal and more into their dessert.

The ice cream comes in two sizes: 8 ounces with two grain options and one topping or 12 ounces with three grains and two toppings. It can be served in a cup, waffle cone, milkshake, or “waffle cloud”, which is ice cream piled on top of a waffle.

Cereal Bar hours on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. On Fridays and Saturdays, it is open from noon to 10:30 p.m.

“My grandmother taught us that ice cream was an appetizer and a dessert,” Cereal Bar owner Jen Cole said in a statement. “Ice cream has always made me smile and this is our opportunity to bring it to your family.”
