Bradford (Park Avenue) re-signs former talent from Leeds and Hull

BRADFORD (Park Avenue) has announced the re-signing of right-handed defender Lucas Odunston to a new one-year contract, with an option for a second.

Odunston first signed in August 2021 after making a big impression on management during pre-season.

He then made 27 appearances in the 2021/22 season.

Odunston previously played for Leeds United Under-18s and Hull City Under-23s before joining Avenue.

Upon signing, Avenue boss Mark Bower said: “I have high hopes for Lucas this coming season after a very strong end to last season.

“He made the right-back position his own after some really impressive performances and the challenge for him now is to continue that progression for a full season.”

Odunston was delighted to re-sign for the club, saying: “I’m really happy to still be here for at least another year.

“Bows and Bosh (assistant coach Danny Boshell) are first class and have massively helped me get back into football after two years out with injuries.

“I look forward to the challenge of being such a competitive league this year and one that hopefully we can prove ourselves in.”

He continued: “With such a great group of lads and such an engaged and welcoming fanbase, it’s nice to be part of such a fundamentally great club.

“On a personal level, I will be looking to push at right-back and get better and stronger as the season progresses.”

Meanwhile, Avenue are open for business when it comes to season tickets and tickets for their upcoming pre-season friendly against Bradford City on July 1.
