Fishtown Fall Festival will feature restaurants and shops along Frankford Avenue – Metro Philadelphia

The bustling Fishtown Corridor along Frankford Avenue will be transformed next week into a mecca of fall fun thanks to the Fishtown Fall Festivale.

The event will take place on Saturday, September 24 from noon to 8 p.m. and will feature the best food and drinks from over 20 favorite restaurants and bars, as well as retail stores and vendors. This year’s festivities include an expanded kids’ corner, carnival games, a local celebrity dunk tank and three DJ stages.

Now in its ninth year, Fishtown District has swapped FestivALE for Feastivale – with a new name, a new time of year and a new focus on all things edible. The outdoor end-of-summer food festival and celebration will feature dozens of options, including burgers, brisket, Bavarian pretzels, gluten-free baked goods, vegan treats and even pickles.

Participants include Bottle Bar East, Calle del Sabor, Cheu Fishtown and Nunu, Evil Genius Beer Co., Fette Sau, The Fillmore, Frankford Hall, Front Street Cafe, Interstate Drafthouse, Johnny Brendas and Kismet Bagels, among others.

While food is the focus, the festival is also a celebration of Fishtown’s creative arts and business scene. The neighborhood party will highlight local merchants, artists and artisans.

There will also be a free performance by the Philadelphia School of Circus Arts Youth Troupe (at 3 p.m. on Frankford and Oxford avenues). Kids can enjoy inflatable games and a prize booth and the Lutheran Settlement House’s Dunk Tank will feature Fishtown ‘celebrities’.

Fishtown Fall Festival runs along Frankford Avenue between Girard Avenue and Columbia Ave, with additional festival activity along Master, Thompson and Lee streets. The event is family and dog friendly and free. For more information, visit and follow @fishtownfestivale.
