Greenville Avenue Pizza Co. opened 15 years ago in Lower Greenville.

The original location remains, while a second store in Dallas opened five years ago and one in Richardson opened last year.

“When we first opened 15 years ago, we had no idea what was in store for us, but we believed in our little pizzeria and we’ve always been thrilled with the way the community has welcomed us,” said the owner. Samy Mandell said. “Now, with three locations spread across the city, we couldn’t be happier to where is GAPCo and where it is heading.

Mandell, a graduate of Bryan Adams High School, saw an opportunity in Lowest Greenville for a slice pizzeria. It was difficult at first, but Mandell didn’t let financial difficulties cause him to quit.

GAPCo is active in the community and often holds fundraisers and campaigns to support local ISD Dallas schools.

To celebrate this anniversary, GAPCo is throwing a party at its Richardson store.

All three locations will be commemorated with specials. Large Cheese Pizzas will be on sale for $15, Colossal Cookies will be sold for $5, and Beers will be $1.

Plus, there will be live music, a pizza contest, and kids’ activities.

The event will take place from 3 to 7 p.m. on November 12 at 520 Lockwood Drive.
