LILOAN, Cebu — True to its reputation for academic excellence, GT Northeast Academy (GTNA) expands its learning grounds for students with its very own GTNA Recreation and Events Center (REC).
The center, which is located in a 4,233 square meter property on Gemilina Street, Barangay Tayud, Liloan, serves as a training ground for GTNA students to apply what they have learned in a real-life professional setting.
According to GTNA School Principal Jonathan Aaron Salvane, GTNA-REC’s facilities, such as its hotel rooms, will give their students insight into the real operations of the hospitality industry.
“When it comes to our TLE program, we envision giving our students hands-on experience. We hope to use the hotel as a place where our students can learn practical, hands-on business management skills that they can use in the future,” he said.
GTNA-REC has 10 hotel rooms – deluxe rooms, suites and connecting rooms. Thanks to its location, families can enjoy a place to relax away from the hustle and bustle of the metro, but not too far.
It is just 10 minutes drive from SM City Consolacion, 22 minutes drive from Liloan Golf Course and 25 minutes drive from Mactan Cebu International Airport (MCIA).
The center also has a multipurpose room that can accommodate up to 120 people.
Refuel at Mangga Restaurant with their delicious and mouth-watering homemade food and drinks. With Nordic interior design and Liloan landscapes, guests are sure to enjoy their morning cup of coffee, hearty lunch, sunset cocktails and sumptuous dinner.
In addition to these amenities, GTNA-REC boasts of a semi-Olympic pool that can accommodate training and competitions with a depth of 6 to 7 feet.
They also have a lagoon pool (4-5 feet deep) which is perfect for relaxing, enjoying and having fun. For the little ones, they have a three-foot-deep Jacuzzi-style pool.
GTNA-REC can also host poolside events and parties that grant exclusive use of the lagoon pool, as well as their five cabanas.
Whether it’s a birthday party or just a casual get-together with family and friends, you’re sure to have a great time. GTNA-REC also offers customizable packages for events and parties.
GTNA-REC will also host swimming lessons which will be integrated into the physical education curriculum for GTNA students. Its event spaces will also be secondary places where the school can organize its activities and seminars.
“In the future, we also plan to hold swimming competitions here to create a competent swimming community in Liloan. Who knows, maybe the next Philippine swimming Olympian will come from our community,” Salvane said.
GTNA continues its quest to discover and nurture brilliant students in the northeast part of Cebu. GTNA-REC will serve as the school’s marketing strong point to attract new enrollees who will be able to benefit from the school’s many facilities and offers.
GTNA aims to be the BEST business, entrepreneurship, science and technology school in Cebu by 2025. This is anchored on the school’s strong adherence to science and technology research, business entrepreneurship and to the multidisciplinary social sciences. (PR)
