A MAN who was killed in an accident on a main road in Bradford was locally named.
Tributes have been paid on social media to Nicky Tidswell, 35, known as “Tiddy”, following early morning collision.
Police are appealing for witnesses and in a statement earlier today said: “At 3.38am police were called to the incident on Mayo Avenue near the junction with Manchester Road where a silver Kia Sorento SUV had lost control and collided with street furniture before overturning into the opposite roadway.
“The driver, a 35-year-old male who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The car was driving up Manchester Road away from the city center at the time of the collision and had failed to negotiate a left turn onto Mayo Avenue.
“The incident is being investigated by the West Yorkshire Police Major Collision Investigation Team.”
A large police scene was in place today as collision investigation work was underway.
A police spokesperson said: “Officers want to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the silver Kia Sorento in the pre-collision area, particularly anyone with dash cam footage. relevant.
“They are also appealing to locate a specific potential witness who was the driver of a white van which was traveling along Mayo Avenue at the time of the collision but was not involved in the incident.
