Off the beaten track: Park Avenue confectionery

MECANICVILLE, NY (NEWS10) – For 14 years, Confiserie Park Avenue in Mechanicville has been making chocolates and other confectionery by hand. Owners Kevin and Rebecca Tollisen started the chocolate business in college when they first started dating.

“It has been a passion of my husband and mine for many years now. He made chocolates when he was in college and I used to help him make chocolates and wrap them when we were dating! said Rebecca.

After their marriage, the opportunity to open a store in Mechanicville arose in October 2007. Over the years, raising a family in the chocolate factory has paid off, she says, as teenagers now help out. family business.

From chocolate-covered Oreos to melt-in-your-mouth truffles, their long list of delicious treats keep winning over their loyal fan base. For those of you looking for the sweets from your childhood, they keep their shelves stocked with nostalgic sweets.

Hot chocolate bombs are very popular in the local candy store. They sell nearly 150 a day.

“A lot of people say when they come to this place it’s beautiful, it’s like a rough diamond, a little gem in a hometown,” Rebecca said.
